Preventing Deadly Complications of Cardiac Sarcoidosis

Cardiac sarcoidosis is a rare complication of pulmonary sarcoidosis, causing granulomatous inflammation the myocardium, ultimately resulting in infiltrative cardiomyopathy. Through fibrotic inflammation, cardiac predisposes patients to multiple complications, such as conduction abnormalities, ventricular arrhythmias, heart failure, and sudden death. Due adverse prognosis abnormalities these patients, dual chamber implantable defibrillator (ICD) therapy beneficial reducing mortality morbidity. Early ICD placement can prevent further immune-driven complications. Here we present case 50-year-old female who underwent due secondary sarcoidosis.
